What is most important to you in a car? What wouldn’t you want to compromise on?
Emilia Schüle: “I like a certain size, preferably four doors, but not too pretentious. Plenty of space, but not like an SUV. It’s important to me to be able to find a parking space easily, that it’s easy to handle – and if it’s an electric car, it must be quick to charge.”
A green lifestyle is on trend. What else do you do for the environment?
Emilia Schüle: “All sorts of things. I turned vegan. The easiest way to reduce your ecological footprint is to give up animal products. Then there are takeaway cups: I think it’s important to avoid using them. And: train travel. I now go by train to travel long distances that I used to fly: Berlin to Munich, Berlin to Cologne … And I try to avoid single-use waste. My cleaning cloth in the kitchen is crocheted. You can put it in the washing machine and don’t have to buy a new one every time. And there are reusable alternatives for coffee filters and cotton wool pads. There are so many great options, you just need to take a look.”
