The five levels of automated driving
With the offering of mobility services, we will be gifting people more time. You get into a car capsule that uses a safe system to navigate the roads. The stop is wherever I want it to be. And it almost feels like having a private chauffeur.
We made a promise to residents: By 2030, we want everyone in Hamburg to have access to local transport that is no more than five minutes away on foot and arrives every five minutes at all times. This means that we need to adopt totally new ways of rolling out local transport across the city.
We expect that autonomous driving will enable us to have a larger fleet on the road in the future. That we will be able to offer a great mobility service, become faster, even more reliable and more available, all while becoming cheaper.
